I have spent more than 26 years in financial services, working across the UK - from Scotland to London. I now reside in Fleet, Hampshire and focus on helping clients across Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and London. During this time, I gained all the qualifications to provide financial advice in the UK and have worked with large corporates implementing pension schemes and employee benefits, delivered financial education to thousands of people, and provided financial advice to business owners and individuals.
One thread that has existed across the parts of the UK and the types of clients has been to help people make better choices with their money so they can get on with living and not worry about their finances.
I started Wilcox Day because I saw a problem. The UK financial system is complicated, yet almost nobody is taught how it works. People end up worrying about pensions, tax, retirement, savings and IHT without ever having any of it explained clearly. I wanted to change that. My job is to cut through the jargon, give you a plan you actually understand, and help you feel confident about the years ahead.
The financial plan needs to be built around you and your goals. After all, it is not about how much you have but about what you want to do with it that matters.
Most people come to me at a turning point:
• A business owner whose wealth is tied up in the company, who wants real financial independence alongside it, not instead of it.
• Someone in their fifties asking the big question: do I have enough?
• A family worried about how much of their pension will be lost to inheritance tax once the rules change in April 2027.
Whatever brings you to the table, the goal is the same. Replace the uncertainty with a clear plan, so you can stop worrying about money and start living. That is what good financial planning really does. It does not just grow your wealth. It takes away the quiet stress of not knowing where you stand, and gives you the confidence that you are on track.
